How to use it

Three steps, about a minute

  1. Step 1

Count the Windows and fill in your Price per window (in & out) for a standard size.

  2. Step 2

Enter how many Screens you will clean and your Price per screen, or set Screens to zero.

  3. Step 3

Set Minutes per window from your own timed jobs, then review Quote, Time on site and Effective hourly rate.

How the window cleaning price calculator works

Start with price: windows times price per window, plus screens times price per screen. Time on site is windows times minutes per window, divided by 60. The effective hourly rate is the quote divided by that time. Out of the box the tool prices 20 windows at $9 each, inside and out, plus 20 screens at $2, for a $220 quote. At 6 minutes per window that is 2 hours of work, which pays $110 an hour. Screens add to the price but not to the time, so if you wash screens on site, fold those minutes into your minutes per window. Every window counts the same here. French panes, storm windows, tall ladder work and hard water stains take longer, so look at the house or photos before quoting a big job.

Pro tips

Using the numbers like a pro: tips for window cleaning and blinds companies

Tip 01

Track minutes per window for a few weeks and split the numbers by first and second floor. A rate that works on ground-level windows can drop sharply once the ladders come out.

Tip 02

Price French panes, divided lites and storm windows by the pane or as their own line. They take far longer than a standard double-hung, and a single flat rate hides that.

Tip 03

Offer a lower per-window price for recurring service, such as spring and fall cleanings. Repeat customers cost nothing to win again, and windows on a schedule clean up faster each visit.

Turn it into leads

Put a calculator like this on your own website

Most homeowners have never counted their windows, and that counting step is your chance to capture the lead. A calculator on your site asks for the window and screen count, then for contact details to send the estimate. Reply fast with a confirmed price while they are still deciding. If you want one with your own per-window rates, we can set it up.

FAQ

Window Cleaning Price Calculator questions

How much should I charge per window for cleaning?

Work backward from the hourly rate you need. Multiply that hourly target by the minutes a standard window takes you, then divide by 60 to get a per-window price. Charge more for hard-to-reach, oversized or divided-pane windows, and set a job minimum so small homes still cover your drive time.

How long does it take to clean windows in a house?

Window count, size, style and height all play a part, as does cleaning inside and out versus outside only. Multiply the window count by your average minutes per window for an estimate. Screens, tracks, hard water stains and ladder work all add time, so walk the home or review photos first.

Is window cleaning priced per window or per pane?

Both methods are used. Pricing per window is simpler for standard double-hung or sliding windows. Pricing per pane makes more sense for French or divided-light windows, where one frame can hold many small panes. Some companies also price by the hour or by the size of the home, so compare how quotes are built, not just the total.
